An Evening with Renée Fleming An Evening with Renée Fleming

June 10, 2023

At the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

Featuring The Emerson String Quartet, Merle Dandridge, and Simone Dinnerstein.

Soprano Renée Fleming, hailed as one of the greatest artists of our time, will captivate you with a performance that highlights her sumptuous voice, compelling stage presence and beguiling musical curiosity. Don't miss this eagerly awaited return of a living legend!

The concert will feature Penelope, a new concert work created expressly for her by two legends: composer André Previn and librettist Tom Stoppard. Featuring Merle Dandridge (The Last of Us), the Emerson String Quartet and pianist Simone Dinnerstein, Penelope takes the audience into the mind of the mythic heroine, waiting years on end for her beloved husband's return from war and standing strong against a hundred suitors.

"Fleming’s soprano—another exemplar of legendary beauty—soars with the force of an uncontainable soul"

Oussama ZahrThe New Yorker
